I want to express some of my thoughts too. I still remember China developed the nuclear weapons when the country was very poor and many people at that time were still sufferring from hunger problem some 30-40 years ago. Many people complained it was a totally wrong decision but when we look back now, it was totally correct in my eyes which could give China a long period of peaceful time because China owned nuclear weapons. You can see how USA treats North Korea now.

很同意您的看法。基本上，當一個機構過大，過多管理人員，自然會產生好大喜功之輩，不斷自己製造大項目。政府機關如是，私人機構如是。香港現時很多年賺數十億的大公司，一樣每年花費大量金錢發展其自以為一流的盈利航母，誇大盈利預測，說服老板投入大量資源，其背後原因只為保護自己個職位或鞏固自己的地位。成果/願境可不必理會，但目的已達到。
張先生或許想得有些極端。我舉兩個例子，大清帝國沒有意圖侵略他國，最終無法避過覆滅結果；阿根庭沒有獨霸大西洋的想法，最後也逃不過對英戰敗的苦果。同樣地，中華人民共和國並沒有要稱霸世界的野心，難道這個世界就一定會和平?如果按張先生的邏輯，中國大可連潛艇、戰艦也不需要。換個角度說，如果日本遵守和平憲法，何需再建造「小航母」?美國如果已經是世界最強大國，又何需繼續擴軍、開戰、造新武器?答案只有一個﹕防範於未然。中國改造航母，試飛所謂的四代半隱形機，就代表中國意圖不軌?這是不公道的說法。沒有人會否認中國的問題，但不能以偏蓋全。但我同意一點，要警惕中國出現自大、黷武思想。
